UNM-LA Advisory Board Vacancy

UNM-LA News:

Michael DiRosa has resigned his position as a UNM-Los Alamos Advisory Board member due to a work assignment that will have him away from Los Alamos for the next two years.

DiRosa was elected to the position in February of 2015.

“We appreciate Michael’s service on our Advisory Board,” UNM-LA Executive Director Dr. Cindy Rooney said. “His passion for higher education and his commitment to the success of our campus were evident in all of our interactions. We wish him the best in his new assignment.”

Per UNM-LA bylaws, when a vacancy occurs during a term, the “remaining board members will appoint a qualified person to serve the remainder of the term.” UNM-LA Advisory Board President Steve Boerigter and other board members Michelle Hall, Micheline DeVaurs and David Sutton plan to select a replacement at the April Advisory Board meeting.

Any individual who is interested in serving on the UNM-LA Advisory Board should send a letter stating their interest in serving to Kateri Morris at UNM-LA by April 1.  Letters may be emailed to katerim@unm.edu. Interested individuals also are requested to attend the Advisory Board meeting at 5:30 p.m., April 4. After brief presentations and discussion, the existing board members will select a replacement.
