United Church of Los Alamos Moves into Phase 2 of Facility Revitalization

The Building Committee of The United Church of Los Alamos, 2525 Canyon Road, is hosting an informational Open House today, Monday, April 14, regarding the outside accessibility upgrades about to begin at its 67-year location.
The Open House is 5:30-7 p.m., and especially for nearby neighbors, but the greater community also is invited to see the drawings and chat with the architect and contractor as well as members of the United Church Building Committee.
Work will begin soon to enlarge drop-off parking, enhance traffic flow around the multi-building facility, and present a unified campus with a new church plaza complete with a new, more accessible Sanctuary entrance.
Phase 1 was completed a year and a half ago with a lot of interior improvements to the Christian Education Building, including elevator access to all three levels. Now it’s time for long-deferred chapel interior and exterior upgrades.
