PAC 8 News:
For the 4th consecutive year, PAC 8 will be teaming up with the Los Alamos Teen Center, the Youth Activity Center and Fuller Lodge Art Center, to offer the Summer Film Intensive Program.
Open to youth ages 13-18, this 3-week program will take participants through all of the steps in the process of creating an original short film – screen writing, camera operation, production planning and location shooting, acting, editing, and numerous other aspects of the film process. Students will write, produce, and star in multiple original short films for entry in a statewide youth film contest.
Scholarships are available, no student will be refused for financial reasons. The program is being made possible by generous donations and a grant from the Delle Foundation.
This year the SFI is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 24-28, July 1-3 and July 8-12 at PAC 8 and the Teen Center. The link to register is https://forms.gle/4jkX3aYXatFQyG3J9
PAC 8 has been teaching students media production for almost 30 years. Several former students have gone on to have successful careers in film.
