Troop 2, Los Alamos’ first girls Scouting BSA troop, is proud to announce the first female Eagle Scout in Los Alamos plus the completion/near completion of two more Eagle projects in the community.
Sasha Carr achieved her Eagle rank Dec. 1, 2022, Rebecca Moss built a new concrete staircase at the Sportsman’s Club Sept. 21, 2022 and Willow Chartrand built a Little Pantry for First United Methodist Church and is looking for help with a food drive to stock it to complete her Eagle project.
Non perishable items may be donated at the First United Methodist Church and Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church.
Troop 2 girls started in February 2019 when the BSA program opened to females in Scouting and has completed many things such as going to camp and any community service project around town that needed to be done.
It’s a wonderful program and its recommended that any young girl who wants to join to try it out.
