World Renowned Photographer Nevada Wier
Nevada Wier is a multiple award-winning photographer specializing in the remote corners of the globe and the cultures that inhabit them. Her journeys crisscross the globe in search of compelling travel experiences and images.
Her work is represented by Getty, Corbis, National Geographic Images, and Blend and has been published in National Geographic, Geo, National Geographic Adventure, National Geographic Traveler, Islands, Outdoor Photographer, and Outside. Nevada has been the photographer for many books, for example, The Land of Nine Dragons – Vietnam Today, winner of the Lowell Thomas Best Travel Book of 1992 award.
She has been featured on several television programs like the National Geographic Explorer television episode on her travels down the Blue Nile River in Ethiopia on assignment with National Geographic magazine. Nevada also is an Adobe Influencer with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Nevada instructs photography workshops for National Geographic and The Santa Fe Workshops.

Photographing on the move in foreign countries requires the combination of technical expertise, culture competence, intuitive awareness, curiosity and a dash of panache. Nevada Wier will discuss how to combine technical, practical, and creative aspects of travel photography in order to get an image that elevates itself above the usual travel clichés. Nevada tells ways to approach and creatively photograph people, cross-cultural considerations, using natural light, fill-flash, tips on equipment, and digital concerns in the field.
