Los Alamos County has announced that N.M. 502/N.M. 4 westbound, which was closed by the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) at Totavi Hill near the Tewa Gas Station earlier this morning due to inclement weather is now reopened.

NMDOT was able to make two passes of sand. Use extreme caution, as there are several unattended vehicles on the shoulder. Motorists should stay in the sanded travel lanes. ALL travel is heavily discouraged until conditions improve.
