TOTH Generations Service Set for Sunday

God’s Message of Friendship
By MARYANN BLACKHART

Come join us at Trinity On The Hill Episcopal Church’s Generations Service at 6:07 p.m. this Sunday, Sept. 8, in Kelly Hall, at 5:15 p.m. a free dinner is provided.

At the last Generations’ service, we had a wonderfully fun time giving and receiving God’s message of friendship through our upbeat music and words from our celebrants. Our new Priest-in-Charge, Fr. Gary Baldwin, called it “refreshing.” Rev. Alicia Pope gave the Gospel, and our Seminarian, Laurie Triplett, gave a very heartfelt and thought-provoking homily.

The homily focused on us as friends of God and us as friends of others, including those we do not want to befriend. This Sept. 8, we will continue God’s message of friendship—that of giving hospitality to strangers and serving others. We ask the question “When do we start to take on burdens in serving others?”

It will be a very unique time for all. We like to keep it fresh, so our celebrants rotate for each service in speaking to you the Word of God. This Sunday, Mother Alicia will be giving the homily; Fr. Gary Baldwin will be preaching at our Sept. 22 service.

So please come join us every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month and Rock the House of God!
