SPORTS News:

Toppers Varsity girls basketball team hosted the St. Pius Sartans at home Saturday in Griffith Gymnasium.

The first half was hard fought, ending in a 21-21 tie. Despite strong defense by the Toppers, the Sartans slowly pulled away to win the match 41-50.

Becca Green lead the team with 17 points, followed by Natalie Gallegos with 10.

The Toppers play again at home at 7 p.m. Monday night against Manzano of Albuquerque.
