Topper Varsity Girls Softball Narrowly Loses To Chargers

SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers girls varsity softball team hosted the Academy Chargers Saturday at home.

The Chargers jumped out to an early 4 run lead in the top of the 1st inning. The Toppers could only answer with three runs.

In the 2nd inning the Toppers gained momentum and rallied back to tie the matchup 5-5.

In subsequent innings the Chargers continued to pull ahead adding four more runs. In the 7th inning the Toppers rallied with three runs to tie the match going into the 8th inning.

The Chargers managed to cross the plate once and Toppers came up empty in the bottom of the inning.

The final score was 9-10 in favor of the Chargers.
