The Los Alamos High School Navy Junior ROTC (NJROTC) completed its annual Area Manager’s Inspection the morning of Friday, Jan. 20.

During the event, cadets were under strict review of personal grooming requirements and military bearing, as individuals and as a unit.

“AMI went very well and I am beyond proud of Topper Company for showcasing all their hard work and dedication. I would also like to thank the Topper Company staff for all their hard work and efforts in planning this monumental event,” Training Officer C/LTJG Veronica Parra said.

The inspection occurred in Griffith Gymnasium at Los Alamos High School (LAHS) in front of a large crowd of proud family members, friends and representatives. Acting Superintendent Jennifer Guy, Assistant Superintendent Carter Payne, TFA Principal Mike Johnson and LAHS Assistant Principal Suzanne Montoya observed the day’s ceremony.

Petty Officer Matthew Bohlen said, “Having such an amazing turnout of parents, relatives, friends and our LAPS administrators made this year’s AMI really special. The cadets seized the day and showed off their skills and professionalism with a level of pride we’ve come to expect from each and every one of them.”

“As usual, Topper Company came out on top,” said Chief Aron Ayers, Senior Naval Science Instructor. “Their hard work and dedication was on full display in front of a crowd of supporters. The cadets are eager to continue the school year and find even more success in whatever they do.”
