SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Topper Boys Soccer Team ended their season with a loss to Albuquerque Academy 1-2 in the Semifinal State Playoff Game Thursday afternoon in Albuquerque.

The Academy Chargers have a very strong program and have always been a challenge for the Toppers in State competitions.

The two teams have played each other for the championship on several occasions, with the Chargers winning most of the contests.

The teams played to a scoreless first half, then the Chargers scored early in the second half.

The Toppers scored a goal to tie the game midway in the second half, followed by another Chargers goal to win the game.
