Los Alamos High School student Alexander Castille is presenting a distracted driving survey to the County Council that he and members of the Los Alamos Youth Leadership team conducted through spending time on strategic intersections around towncounting the motorists who were chatting on their cells, applying make-up, smoking and exhibiting other distracted behaviors. Los Alamos Police Chief briefed County Council on the “Every 15 Minutes” program targeting distracted driving, which will be conducted later this month with participation from parents, students, Los Alamos Public Schools, police, fire, medical personnel and others.
