Time Out Pizzeria owners Omar and Trisha Sanchez are closing their business this May at 157 Central Park Square. The closure ends the couple’s 14-year run serving the community.

“COVID really took a major hit and now with the lack of employees we’re just not recovering,” Trisha said.

The final day Time Out Pizzeria will be open is May 13.

We loved the pre-COVID times but with COVID it’s just too hard,” Trisha said. “We want to thank our loyal customers for their support … and our employees. Tony Colletti has been with us since the very beginning. We’ve loved our employees and we’ve loved the pre-COVID times but with COVID it’s just too hard.”

The couple opened their first Time Out Pizzeria location in 2007 at 118 State Road 4 in White Rock. In the summer of 2014, they opened their second location next door to the Bradbury Science Museum at 1350 Central Ave. They closed those two locations and in October 2017 opened the Central Park Square restaurant.

They created a retro arcade and billiard room, where families could play and eat together. Over time, they added air hockey, pool tables and a menagerie of retro-style arcade games to create the family-oriented hangout that exists today.

Trisha said the plan is for the eatery to remain open during regular business hours through May 13.

“Tony is the only employee we have left so we will do our best but there may be times we have to close,” Trisha said.
