As part of its crackdown on motorists driving in Los Alamos County under the influence of alcohol or drugs, local police officers set up a DWI Checkpoint Thursday evening by the airport near the entrance to town. The Los Alamos Police Department reported that 174 vehicles were checked between 7-11 p.m., during which two field sobriety tests were conducted. Those tests turned out to be negative for substance abuse and the end result of Thursday’s checkpoint operation was zero arrests and zero citations. Photo by Carol A. Clark/ladailypost.com
