Thompson Fire Erupts North of Jemez Springs

NMFI News:


Firefighters are battling the Thompson Fire, which erupted at 2:40 p.m. today north of Jemez Springs. 


The fire started on private land and has burned onto some federal forest service property.


Crews report fire is creeping along the ground with occasional tree torching. Sandoval County VFDs, USFS engines on scene. Unknown number of homes in the area have been evacuated. It is not known how many people have been evacuated from these homes.
