Champions of Youth Ambitions (C’YA) generally holds its College & Military Day on the second Friday in September. So as not to be disrespectful of Sept. 11, C’YA is asking the community to wear their school andmilitary colors Sept. 4. C’YA also usually holds its Change for Change drive in September, collecting leftover change at cash registers … so this month the community is being asked to go to a local small business and make a purchase. ‘Try and place you never been to, buy something small, every purchase matters or order some takeout and tip better.
