Friday Jan. 31, we will be opening Labor Day starring Josh Brolin, Kate Winslet and Toby Maquire. Jason Reitman directs this film about a single mother, Adele and her son Henry, who give a wounded man a ride from the grocery store.

As local police search the town for an escaped convict, the mother and son gradually learn his true story, and their potential danger.

We will hold Nebraska, Lone Survivor, Jack Ryan and Frozen. Frozen will only play Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as we are installing our final digital projector in that theater starting Monday.

This weekend, we will say goodbye to film forever as Frozen plays for the last time on 35mm.

Don’t forget, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, we are proud to again team-up with Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC), for the amazing Backcountry Film Festival. This selection of films come from both renowned and grassroots filmmakers who search backcountry corners across the globe to submit their best works. Pajarito Brewpub will be there serving up cold beer for this event only. Tickets are $12 advance or $15 at the door (day of the event.)

Coming attractions include: Philomena, LEGO, The Monuments Men, Robo Cop, Winter’s Tale, 300: Rise of an Empire and Son of God.

If you have any requests, email me at and I will respond when I know something. Don’t forget, if it’s your birthday, the movie of your choice is free!

NOTE: Do not trust other websites for Reel Deal Theater movie times as they are often incorrect and we’ve been getting a lot of confused patrons lately who use these random sites, including Google. For correct show times, go to our website @ or use the Los Alamos Daily Post listings for showtimes.
