‘The Wrong Side of the Door’ Premieres 7 p.m. Today

Emma Raven, 10, Carter Haag, 10, Ryan Rushton, 10, and Ethan Rushton, 12, perform in Cindy Richard’s 40-minute play, ‘The Wrong Side of the Door’ today at 7 p.m. at White Rock Baptist Church. Inspired by C.S. Lewis’s writings about Heaven, ‘The Wrong Side of the Door’ is a spiritual drama (with many comic moments) about Mason, a young boy who is trying to enjoy a week at summer camp with his friends (brothers Will and Alan) while still working through the grief of losing his sister Izzy to a cycling accident two months earlier. Four local churches are hosting performances of “The Wrong Side of the Door” including:
  • Friday, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. at White Rock Baptist Church
  • Monday, Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (on the back lawn)
  • Saturday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in White Rock
  • Sunday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church
