The Food Depot Neighbor To Neighbor Fund Drive Collects Equivalent Of More Than A Million Pounds Of Food

FOOD DEPOT News:

SANTA FE — The 10th annual Neighbor to Neighbor Fund Drive has donated the equivalent of more than a million pounds of food during this year’s virtual event.

The $201,428.99 donated by 139 different neighborhoods, businesses and organizations will benefit The Food Depot’s service area of nine counties in northern New Mexico.

The quantity and dollar amount of donations received during this year’s Neighbor to Neighbor Fund Drive exceeded expectations and represent the largest amount of funds raised for The Food Depot to date.

“The support of the Neighbor to Neighbor Fund Drive is simply amazing. To see the amount of donations when so many are struggling to recover from ongoing pandemic is profound and inspiring to us. The donations will be vital in getting food out to those experiencing food insecurity,” Jill Dixon, deputy director of The Food Depot, said.

Top winners in the annual friendly competition were the Sierra del Norte neighborhood donating $30,655, and business Pak Mail donating $4,820. There were numerous categories in this competition. For the complete list of winners go to https://bit.ly/N2NResults_2021.

A special thank you to fund drive founder and volunteer Linda Flatt, along with her team of volunteers for their efforts in making this year’s event such a success.
