Thank you, Los Alamos County! Your support for our local arts community through the Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) is truly humbling.
We asked for help. You responded by donating over $30,000 directly to us for programming and events. You completed our $10,000 Seed Fund with the Los Alamos Community Foundation (LACF) allowing us to establish an Endowment for the Arts. Your response to Affordable Arts these past weeks has been breathtaking, pouring tens of thousands of dollars into the hands of over 150 local artists.
All of this will help us to provide all the programs and events that we have historically provided, including Kite Fest, Pumpkin Glow, Arts and Crafts Fairs, Missoula Children’s Theatre, Fuller Lodge Art Gallery, Scarecrow Contest, educational programing, and Daytime Performance Series, as well as the new ones we introduced this year such as Pajarito Literary Festival, Safos Dance Theatre, and sponsoring National Theatre Live at Sala.
In order to continue our high level of activity, we need to continue this level of giving, and ask that you consider us for an end of year donation. To begin with, we need more recurring donors. Our current recurring donations are at $750/month. We are targeting increasing this to $1,500/month.
