CONCERT News:

As part of the TGIF Concert Series, eSSO Santa Fe will perform the music of Music of Bach and Mozart Dec. 10 at First Presbyterian Church, 208 Grant Ave. in Santa Fe.

eSSO Santa Fe is an adult amateur orchestra of good friends who enjoy preparing and performing music together. In the summer of 2008 the orchestra was conceived as a way for friends to get together and read music in a casual, relaxed setting during the summer months when other organized amateur orchestras were taking their summer vacation. Beginning in October 2012 the orchestra began to rehearse and perform year-round.

William Houston III has been the eSSO Conductor continuously since the December 2012 performance.

eSSO Santa Fe now plays four concerts each year, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter in the First Presbyterian Church’s TGIF series. We rehearse for six to seven weeks prior to the concert, take six or seven weeks off and then begin rehearsals for the next performance.

eSSO Santa Fe’s past and upcoming repertoire include Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos, Mendelssohn String Symphonies, Concerti Grossi by Vivaldi, Corelli and Handel, Mozart Divertimenti, Symphonies, Concertos and the Adagio & Fugue, Stamitz Mannheim Symphonies, Holst’s St. Paul’s Suite, Grieg’s Holberg Suite, Haydn Symphonies, Barber’s Adagio, Britten’s Simple Symphony, Telemann’s Don Quixote Suite and Elgar’s Serenade.
