LAPS News:
Ten Los Alamos High School seniors were recently honored during ceremonies attended by family and friends as they formally committed to military service.
Aiden Alley, Tyler Jones and Robert Thomas are joining the U.S. Army. Cheyenne Haag, Colten Key, Devon Martinez and Garrison Sison have signed with the U.S. Air Force, and Landon Arnett and Cooper Beavers are headed into the U.S Marines. Nathan Duffield has been accepted to the U.S. Naval Academy.
Recent statistics show that less than 1 percent of Americans join the military after high school.
“We are extremely proud of these students and their decision to serve our country,” LAPS Superintendent Jennifer Guy said.
