COUNTY News:

Today, Saturday, May 16, crews from Los Alamos County Public Works will reinstall the jersey barriers along the southern side of Ashley Pond Park to provide a critical safety barrier. While we recognize the temporary concrete barriers are not visually appealing, the safety and protection they provide for spectators attending summer concerts remains a top priority.

County employees are currently working with a professional landscape architect to develop concepts for a permanent solution that provides the critical safety barrier while also fitting into the historic and aesthetic nature of the park. There will be opportunities to review these concepts and provide input during future meetings of the Historic Preservation Board, Parks and Recreation Board, Transportation Board, and County Council.
