Taos Center For The Arts Hosts Oscars Party Feb. 22

TCA News:

TAOSTaos Center for the Arts (TCA), in collaboration with the TCA Film Society, is bringing the 87th Oscars to Taos Feb. 22 with a glamorous evening of music, dancing, food, cash bar and entertainment, plus a commercial-free screening of the Oscars.

The TCA Awards Night begins at 5 p.m. in the Taos Community Auditorium at 145 Paseo del Pueblo Norte. This is a “pay what you can” event where donations are accepted in lieu of a set price. The proceeds benefit the TCA.

The evening will feature entertainment by Bon Bon Burlesque, Brave New Burrow and Red Carpet Photos by Steve Fox. Art works created with filmstrips by Theresa Gray and Juniper Purinton will be a feast for the eyes.

Guests can purchase limited edition film jewelry before or during the event. Dress can be casual or “Hollywood-best.”

Along with the Oscars, the TCA Awards Night also celebrates TCA’s acclaimed film program, which highlights artful, award-winning independent films three days a week for 52 weeks of the year. The films are thought provoking, entertaining and provide introspection with the TCA Film Society offering movie discussions open to all once a month.

Guests can vote for their favorite 2014 TCA movies and are eligible for prize drawings throughout the night. Ballots are available at the TCA box office now.
