Taos Architectural Treasure: The Fechin House

The Taos County Historical Society announces its free, public program The Fechin House: A Taos Architectural Treasure by Cindy Atkins at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2 in the Kit Carson Electric Cooperative Boardroom,118 Cruz Alta Road in Taos.
 
The Fechin House is one of Taos’ true historical treasures. Atkins will provide a look into the factors of Nicolai Fechin (1881-1955) life that culminated in the creation of this masterpiece and offer a virtual “tour” of the home and its architectural details.

Atkins’ career includes decades of experience dealing with the public and providing exceptional customer service. In Taos, she worked as sales associate at Act I Gallery and at Chimayo Trading del Norte. Her volunteer activities include Treasurer and Board Member of the Taos Art Museum at Fechin House. Also, she served as its interim executive director.

Atkins is a member of the Taos County Historical Society and serves on the Board of Directors of the Taos Arts Council.
