New Mexico State Fair officials announced the addition of Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Tanya Tucker to the 2026 New Mexico State Fair rodeo-concert lineup. Tanya Tucker will take the stage Friday, Sept. 18, following the Chevron PRCA rodeo.

Tanya burst onto the scene at just 13 years old with her first hit “Delta Dawn”. Since then, she has amassed 23 Top-40 albums, 56 Top 40 singles, and 10 No. 1 hits on the Billboard country music charts. 

Tanya’s career is decorated with numerous accolades, including two CMAs, two ACMs, three CMT awards, and two GRAMMY Awards for Best Country Album (While I’m Livin’) and Best Country Song (Bring My Flowers Now).

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring the legendary Tanya Tucker to the New Mexico State Fair,” said Dan Mourning, General Manager of the New Mexico State Fair. “Tanya is one of the greatest icons in country music history and is the perfect fit for the Fair.”

The 2026 New Mexico State Fair is scheduled to run from Sept. 10-20, 2026. The State Fair promises to be a magical event highlighting the culture, agriculture, art, and beauty of New Mexico, including top-quality music and entertainment. This year’s Fair will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Route 66.
