The moon viewed at about 5:10 a.m. today near the Los Alamos County Airport shortly before it approached full eclipse and slipped behind the morning haze. According to space.com, this moon is a ‘supermoon’ as the lunar phase coincides with our satellite’s closest approach to Earth. It also coincides with the only total lunar eclipse of the year, earning it the moniker ‘Super Flower Blood Moon’. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
