PEEC News:

PEEC’s popular Summer Family Evenings series is beginning again at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 with the Los Alamos Geological Society.

These events will continue every Tuesday evening in June and July. All the Summer Family Evenings are free to PEEC members. Other families pay $5 per family at the door.

The Los Alamos Geological Society will bring lots of rocks from our area and will share information about how those rocks where formed, where they can be found, and why New Mexico is such a great place to live if you love rocks and geology.

The Los Alamos Geological Society is a nonprofit organization devoted to studying and promoting interests in geology, mineralogy, paleontology, and related subjects. The Society provides opportunities for professionals, amateurs, and others interested in the geology and paleontology of New Mexico to network, participate in field trips, lecture series, and social events.

Summer Family Evenings are a relaxed time for families to gather at PEEC and learn new information, meet new friends, and visit together. Most programs are drop-in, so families don’t have to worry about being there right-on-time. Come any time between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. and you’ll be sure to have fun and learn something new
