Summer Family Evenings Are Back With PEEC

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is excited to announce the return of its highly anticipated Summer Family Evenings at the Los Alamos Nature Center. Throughout June and July, families are invited to join us every Wednesday evening at 6 p.m., for fun, educational, and engaging activities for all ages. Thanks to the Del Norte LOV Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Del Norte Credit Union, for sponsoring

From encounters with local wildlife to hands-on science projects and crafts, each week offers something new and exciting:

  • June 4: Step into the Future
  • June 11: Build Backyard Games *Free courtesy of Mesa Public Library.
  • June 18: Befriend Bugs
  • June 25: Drive a Robot Dog
  • July 2: Spy Training
  • July 9: Get Wild About Wildlife
  • July 16: Meet Animal Ambassadors
  • July 22: Cuddle Baby Goats

Admission: $0/member family, $5/non-member family. Admission is paid at the door.

PEEC was founded in 2000 to serve the community of Los Alamos. It offers people of all ages a way to enrich their lives by strengthening their connections to our canyons, mesas, mountains, and skies. PEEC operates the Los Alamos Nature Center at 2600 Canyon Road, holds regular programs and events, and hosts several interest groups, from birding to hiking to butterfly watching. PEEC activities are open to everyone; however, members receive exclusive benefits such as discounts on programs and gift shop merchandise. Annual memberships start at $35.
