Students Present ‘Merry Wives Of Windsor’

SQUID Inc. presents Merry Wives of Windsor, by William Shakespeare. Fifteen students from the New Mexico School for the Arts come together to bring this rarely performed Shakespeare script to the stage.

The company will stage Merry Wives in an adaptation of the traditional thrust stage style, including keeping the house lights on during the show, and the actors producing all sound effects from off stage.

Directed by Skye J. Franklin, the show is opening at Teatro Paraguas at 3205 Calle Marie in Santa Fe Friday, March 4, closing March 13, with 7 p.m. showings on Fridays-Saturdays, and 2 p.m. showings on Sundays. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
