The public is invited to attend the Second Sunday Forum at the Unitarian Church of Los Alamos, starting at 12 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 9, at 1738 North Sage Street.

Stephanie Nakleh will explore the complex factors behind America’s affordable housing crisis, examining both national trends and local challenges in Northern New Mexico.

Stephanie draws upon her reporting experience covering housing policy, zoning reform, and development projects. She will investigate the root causes behind the lack of affordable housing; and she will discuss practical solutions for creating more livable communities.

The presentation will combine policy analysis with real-world case studies, offering insights into how communities can move beyond scarcity thinking to build housing that serves residents across income levels.

The Second Sunday Forum program endeavors to educate the public about issues that affect the community and to provide opportunities for exploration.
