STEP GALLERY News:
“The Gift of Small Paintings 2022” is open now through Jan. 5 in Step Up Gallery on Mesa Public Library’s upper level. More than 90 framed or finished paintings including oils, pastels, watercolors, dye-work and collage by premier regional artists are offered for viewing and purchase.
The level of experienced artistry of this show’s participants range from beginner watercolorist Marcia Birmingham who’s been painting for just one year under the tutelage of the seasoned Albuquerque watercolorist Melba Lee, to a dozen professional artists who show larger work in galleries all over New Mexico. Birmingham’s entry “Poppy Power” was chosen as the background image in this exhibit’s show poster.
Local artists entered beautiful work, as well, including Kathi Geoffrion Parker of White Rock, Rachel Pearson, Gloria Sharp and Sue Ellen Hains of Los Alamos and Karen Trythall and Diane Stoffel from Española.
Visit Step Up Gallery before Jan. 5 or see all the artwork online at https://stepupgallerymarket.artspan.com where it can purchase it with any bank card.
The gallery manager will be present 2-6 p.m. Monday through Friday in Step Up Gallery and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Dec. 22 to help prospective buyers with their purchase and package up their purchased art to take home before the holidays.
The library and gallery open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; closed Sundays and holidays.
