STEAM Learning Opportunities Grant For Northern New Mexico Educators And Programs

LANLF News:

The LANL Foundation, in collaboration with the Northern New Mexico STEAM Coalition, is pleased to announce the launch of the STEAM Learning Opportunities Grant. This new grant opportunity supports educators and programs serving PreK-12 students across Northern New Mexico, both in-school and out-of-school, during Summer 2025 and the 2025–2026 academic year.

This one-year funding opportunity is made possible by a generous $100,000 grant from Triad, LLC and the National Nuclear Security Administration, with a shared commitment to expanding access to high-quality STEAM education in our region.

Funding Detail:

  • Grant Range: $1,000–$10,000
  • Eligibility: Educators and programs serving PreK-12 students in Los Alamos, Mora, Sandoval, Santa Fe, San Miguel, Rio Arriba, and Taos Counties, as well as schools or programs based in one of the 18 Pueblos, Tribes, and Sovereign Nations served by LANL Foundation.
  • Funding Condition: Grantees will contribute to the development of a regional STEAM Learning Framework by participating in two feedback workshops (Summer and Fall 2025) and/or hosting a site visit.

Funding Priorities

Grant proposals must align with one or more of the Northern New Mexico STEAM Coalition’s goals:

  • Ensure daily, inquiry-based STEAM learning in schools.
  • Increase access to high-quality out-of-school STEAM programs.
  • Expand student exposure to STEAM career pathways.

We especially encourage applications from individual teachers, out-of-school programs, and school–nonprofit–higher ed partnerships!
