The MG Miles Chapter of the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) will hold its next meeting on Zoom at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19.
The speaker is John Dukowicz, a Los Alamos resident who will discuss life In Eastern Europe during World War II.
Dukowicz was a child in Poland at the start of World War II. Listen to how the war affected his family especially his father who was in the Polish Army.

State Surpasses Milestone With New Mexico Emergency Rental And Utilities Assistance Program

SANTA FE — The State of New Mexico, in partnership with the City of Albuquerque, has awarded more than $54 million in rental and utility assistance to New Mexico households through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP).
An additional $71 million has been earmarked for innovative assistance programs being awarded over the coming months.
As a result of this effective progress, the important milestone of 65 percent allocation has been surpassed and the state will not revert any of the $185.5 million in funds made available by the federal government.
