ALBUQUERQUE —The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) Chairman Steve Pearce on U.S. inflation “skyrocketing to 9.1 percent in June, growing at a faster-than-expected rate”.

The soaring inflation rate continues as a result of President Biden’s “radical agenda, poor judgment and weak leadership.”
 
“Inflation now stands at a 40-year high thanks to President Biden’s progressive policies and energy decisions that are damaging our oil and gas industry. Inflation now has a horrible chokehold on American families that face financial strains every day.

“Gas, groceries and other necessities are beyond reach for so many hardworking people. New Mexicans and others are truly suffering under Biden. He has badly hurt our energy independence with his radical policies, and now he’s off to the Middle East to try to get OPEC nations to pump more oil to try to ease our economic crisis. He is an embarrassment, and his poor judgment and leftist agenda continue to kill America and its economy.”
