SANTA FE — St. John’s College in Santa Fe will hold its 56th Santa Fe commencement ceremony at 10:30 a.m. today, May 20. Sixty-seven members of the class of 2023 will receive their degrees from the third-oldest college in the country. These students are from 21 states and eight countries including China, Ghana, Germany, Nigeria, Sweden, Nepal, Pakistan and Vietnam.

St. John’s College tutor Sarah Davis will provide the commencement address. Davis will become Dean of the college’s Santa Fe campus in July of this year. She did her undergraduate work in philosophy and anthropology at Harvard University and received her PhD in cultural anthropology from Emory University. Davis spent two years doing dissertation field research on the French island of Corsica, where she studied the riacquistu, a militant movement devoted to the revitalization of traditional Corsican culture.
