Residents and employees of Aspen Ridge Lodge Assisted Living received their second dose on Jan. 31 of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Residents and employees of Sombrillo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center received their second dose Feb. 7 of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

“The vaccines have been joyfully received and very welcomed,” a LARC spokesperson said. “Los Alamos Retirement Community (LARC) would like to take this opportunity to thank the doctors, scientists and staff of Moderna; as well as those tens of thousands of individuals willing to be tested in clinical trials to make sure the vaccines meet safety standards, protect recipients and save lives. We would also like to thank CVS Pharmacy staff for administering the vaccines, and the residents and employees who joyfully received the doses. LARC would like to thank and praise the incredible work of its staff, who have been committed and proactive in their response to COVID-19. They have been selfless and determined to give their all in the fight against this virus. They are true heroes.”
