If you have been into Boomerang at 1247 Central Ave. in the last few weeks, you probably noticed a new face.

Boomerang is thrilled to welcome its newest and youngest staff member with her beautiful white hair and bright blue eyes … and when she is happy to see someone her whole body wags. 

Meet Snow … the newest employee at Boomerang. Her job description includes greeting customers, not going potty on the floor and being cute. So far, she excels at her job!

Snow is a 14-week-old Lab/Boxer mix and the gentlest puppy ever.

Boomerang’s owner Anna Dillane adopted Snow three weeks ago from NMDOG out of Albuquerque. NMDOG is a rescue organization that specializes in chained dogs and extreme abuse cases. Snow fit neither category, but when a good Samaritan called Angela Stell about a puppy in need, for some reason Stell couldn’t say no. 

Dillane contacted Stell after her beloved Buddha the Boxer passed away from an aggressive bone cancer unexpectedly on May 17 of this year. Dillane had adopted Buddha from NMDOG six years ago and had been raising money and awareness for NMDOG ever since.

“Buddha was the love of my life,” Dillane said. “The fact that he spent the first two years of his life on a chain broke my heart. I tried to make it up to him for the rest of his days.”

Dillane knew Angela didn’t “do” puppies but was asking for a letter of recommendation for another rescue. Stell’s response? “Oh my God, Anna! I have a puppy!”

Dillane said that she knew this puppy was meant to be hers the moment she saw her photo.

“I just know that Buddha arranged this from beyond,” Dillane said with a tear in her eye. “He is still taking care of me.”

Snow will be at the shop Thursdays through Saturdays and at concerts Friday night with Dillane. Feel free to come by and say hi, Dillane said, and be prepared to be licked!
