When the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation sent a state-wide inquiry to wineries about operating a wine room in Central Park Square, Anasazi Fields Winery, Vivác Winery, and Black’s Smuggler Winery decided to respond. Their response resulted in UnQuarked The Wine Room opening its doors in late November 2014.

“The three of us felt that Los Alamos was a good match for our wines,” Anasazi Fields owner Jim Fish said. “UnQuarked offers a selection of distinctly different wines from three New Mexico winemakers.  The wines are available for tasting, for enjoyment by the glass on-site, and by the bottle for our customers to enjoy at home. Customers may bring in their own food to pair with the wines or purchase snack trays from The Wine Room.”

UnQuarked features a rotating list of 30 unique and special wines. Several of them will exceed the expectations of any wine lover, Fish said.

The three wineries also bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the wine tasting room. Anasazi Fields Winery has been in business since 1995, Vivác Winery opened its doors in 2003 and Black’s Smuggler Winery has operated since 2012.

UnQuarked has a staff of four with Ina Gallegos working as the manager.

UnQuarked is at 145 Central Park Square and open 3-9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. For more information, visit http://www.unquarkedwine.com.
