Float Los Alamos is a locally owned and family run business owned by Linda and Carlos Casias. Carlos was born and raised in Los Alamos and returned to Los Alamos with his wife Linda to raise their daughter, Isabella.
Carlos and Linda explored floatation therapy and felt that opening a float center in Los Alamos would benefit the community by providing an alternative and effortless way to manage pain and stress/anxiety.
“The floatation experience is designed to reduce and remove external stimuli allowing one to reach deep awareness and relaxation,” Carlos said. “And while you float atop 900 lbs of natural USP Epsom salt, you will feel the benefits of a zero gravity environment; your muscle tension, joint pain and discomfort will melt away.
Float Los Alamos expressed its gratitude to Los Alamos and the surrounding communities for supporting the company in its first year of operation.
“So far we have serviced more than 2,000 floats!,” Carols said. “We have been able to educate many people about the benefits of floating and helped them manage their pain, stress and anxiety. But there are still many people who have yet to experience the truly incredible and often life-changing effects of floatation therapy. We are planning on hosting an Open House / One Year Anniversary gathering Saturday, Nov. 26 to also coincide with Small Business Saturday.”
The community is invited and especially those who have been curious about floatation therapy or would like to celebrate with us, please come check us out! We will have drinks/snacks and prizes!
“We have recently added some retail including CBD oil and Colorado Hemp Honey, doTERRA essential oils, Ardeo Natural Skincare and premium Epsom bath salt,” Linda said.
Float Los Alamos is open six days a week, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. First-time floaters receive a “two floats for the price of one” deal for $45 plus tax.
