The Bennett family moved to Los Alamos in 1998 and describe it as a “great place to live and a great community.
They officially opened Bennett’s Fine Jewelry Feb. 7, 2007. Melanie and Alison Bennett operate the jewelry store in the heart of downtown Los Alamos at 107 Central Park Square.
They are able to support the community by offering a needed service, Melanie said, adding that customers love to have a full service jewelry store and a great place to shop and that they know they can trust.
“And who doesn’t love sparkles,” Melanie said. “We offer great products and great pricing.”
The store has three employees and Alison has been there the longest, Melanie said.
“Thank goodness Alison is here; the customers love working with her, especially on custom designs,” she said.
Alison explained that Bennett’s Fine Jewelry is now a member of the American Gem Society (AGS).
“Not every jewelry store is able to be a member of the AGS, they hold their members to extremely high ethical standards,” she said. “Bennett’s Fine Jewelry also has become a member of the Retail Jewelers Organization. Our neighbors here in northern New Mexico know that Bennett’s Fine Jewelry can be trusted.”
Melanie added that the family also has made significant investments in Bennett’s Fine Jewelry this past year including offering CAD work and custom design, adding new vendors and new local artisans to improve the overall selection of products available for their customers.”
At Bennett’s Fine Jewelry, shoppers can take advantage of holiday sales including 25 percent off select fine jewelry that is limited to stock on hand.
