Sirphey News:
Imagine a summer night in Frijoles Canyon as you eat dinner with friends and family. The sounds of acoustic jazz fill the air, creating an enchanting scene as you sip wine from local vineyards. And you finish the evening with a moonlit walk with park guides.
Soon, there will be no need to imagine. Sirphey, the Los Alamos food-tech company that brings global flavors to your fingertips, will be setting up operations at Bandelier National Monument in April! Your favorite bite to eat and your favorite trails can soon be found in one place.
Sirphey will be setting up a unique model at Bandelier that will showcase produce, wine and beer from New Mexico with the same global flair Los Alamos and Santa Fe customers have come to recognize from Sirphey’s offerings.
Visitors to Bandelier will be able to indulge in gourmet hot dogs with Sirphey’s house made sausages, flavor-filled burgers, salads, and sweet bites to fuel their hikes or scenic picnics with family and friends. And when the day is done, visitors can unwind with a glass of local wine or beer as they tell and hear stories from their fellow hikers.
And throughout the year, Sirphey will be hosting dinners and community events that showcase northern New Mexico’s stellar community spirit and local talent.
The passion that Bandelier Superintendent Jason Lott, and the full staff of Bandelier share for protecting the park and the environment is a perfect complement to Sirphey’s own eco-driven policies. All containers used by Sirphey are 100 percent compostable or made with 100 percent recycled materials. Food waste generated while preparing meals is distributed to local livestock, and Sirphey sources produce, grain, and meat from local sources whenever possible. And these same policies will be carried over to Bandelier operations, with a focus on sourcing from local farmers markets.
“Sirphey has already proven itself has a positive contributor to the Los Alamos community, and Bandelier is looking forward to having this same creativity, uniqueness, and dedication to customer service as our new restaurant in Frijoles Canyon,” Lott said.
Bandelier National Monument is a jewel of northern New Mexico, and Superintendent Lott and his team have worked tirelessly to provide the communities and visitors a wonderful place to escape the stresses of the outside world, to relax, and to enjoy nature. Sirphey could hope for no better partner than the team at Bandelier.
“Bandelier is excited about its new partnership with Sirphey,” Superintendent Lott said. “Sirphey is offering an opportunity to enhance the visitor experience for both tourists coming to our area, as well as for our local community. I’m personally looking forward to the Green Chili Cheeseburger!”
Working with the community, promoting environmental protection, partnering with local farms and vineyards, and providing a world of flavor to each and every customer have been Sirphey’s objectives since inception, and Sirphey looks forward to this next chapter.
