This coyote spotted today along the edge of Pueblo Canyon survived the mild winter and appears much healthier than in December when she was severely underweight and missing most of her fur. Chairman James Robinson of the Land of Enchantment Wildlife Foundation has been keeping an eye on her and under the right circumstances intends to entice her to eat a pill to cure her mange. He recently imbedded a pill in a chicken breast and said she was sniffing it and likely about to devour it when two ravens swooped down and snatched it away from her. Photo by Carol A. The coyote in December appearing quite sickly on the north side of Pueblo Canyon. She was discussed that same week in Fr. Glenn’s column (link) ‘Lessons From a Coyote’ after he observed her efforts to survive over several months. Photo by Marc Bailey
