Shop Like A Tourist Scavenger Hunt Continues To Dec. 3

Unable to answer question #10 on the Small Business Saturday Scavenger Hunt Contest form? The contest is still underway in Los Alamos!

One contest question answer was previously only available at the Kiosk Mall on Small Business Saturday. A second opportunity to obtain the answer to that question is now available. Call Atomic City Tours by Buffalo Tours at 505.662.3965 to learn about the tour company, make a reservation for a tour (optional), and learn the answer to the question.

Residents have until Saturday, Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. to complete the 20 questions using the Scavenger Hunt Map on the Chamber website and in the Los Alamos Daily Post. Some of the questions are from the Historical Society’s Homestead Tour, some are from the Historical Society’s Walking Tour, some are from our National Parks, some are from our public art, and some are from local businesses and tourist accommodations.

Contest forms are available at CB FOX, Cottonwood on the Greens, the Chamber of Commerce and Metzgers Do-it- Best in Los Alamos and Pig + Fig Bakery + Café in White Rock, .

To qualify for the contest, scavenger’s must answer all 20 questions. The contest ends at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at which time all entries must have been returned to the Chamber of Commerce, 109 Central Park Square.

All entries with 20 correct answers will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing for a tourist staycation. Those not drawn will have a chance to win a consolation prize. Additionally, entries with 20 answers, but up to three incorrect, will be entered into a drawing for consolation prizes from a pile of gift cards donated by participating merchants. The winners will be announced Wednesday, Dec. 8.
