Maddy Early, who just graduated from Chugiak High School in Eagle River, Alaska accompanied her grandmother Shari Mills of White Rock today to give blood in the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Hall. ‘Of course, we donated for the blue side … law enforcement!’ said Mills, a former police detective. The drive continues 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and donors can signify their preferance for law enforcement or the fire department in this good-natured competition for an important and worthy cause.
