SFCC News:

SANTA FE — Santa Fe Community College’s (SFCC) Art on Campus will open UNHOUSED, an exhibition of artwork made by members of Santa Fe’s unhoused community, with a festive opening reception 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 11, in the Dean’s Gallery, in the lobby of the Fine Arts Center on campus at 6401 Richards Ave.

The opening is free to the public. All artwork in the exhibition is available for purchase and proceeds will go directly to the artists. The exhibition continues through July 10.

Director of Art on Campus Linda Cassel said, “SFCC is pleased to offer this opportunity for members of the unhoused community to share their creative voices and celebrate with a broader audience.”

The festive opening will include music by artist Gloria Mandala, light refreshments and door prizes.

Last year’s exhibition from the unhoused community featured a range of artwork including paintings, jewelry and pottery.

The Dean’s Gallery is open whenever the campus is open. For more information, please contact Director of Art on Campus Linda Cassel at linda.cassel@sfcc.edu or call 505.428.1501.
