About the book (brief description of the work in progress for back cover): The fall could have killed Darren, but instead, slipping off his apartment balcony restarts his life. A

fter a month-long coma, Darren wakes up in a Denver hospital to his wife crying over him—the wife he’d divorced in his coma dream. Now awake and more reliant on her than ever, Darren must learn to live in his injured body as he’s haunted by lists of rules for masculinity and memories of the man he fell in love with while unconscious.

Back at a job he hates and dealing with estranged family, his artistic joy floundering and grief from his father’s suicide festering, Darren must decide what life he wants and make it his waking reality.
