ALTSD News:
Senior Day has been rescheduled to Feb. 13, 2026. This replaces the previously announced date of Jan. 23, 2026.
The date change was made intentionally to allow increased access to legislators for Senior Day attendees. We understand how important it is for older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers to connect directly with policymakers when discussing the future of aging and long-term care services in New Mexico. Holding Senior Day on this new date creates more opportunities for meaningful conversations and advocacy at the Roundhouse.
We are also honored to be sharing the day with African American Day at the Legislature. This alignment underscores the importance of serving African American communities across New Mexico, as well as recognizing the unique experiences and priorities of African American elders. We look forward to connecting attendees at both events with resources, information, and furthering more opportunities to advocate together on issues affecting older adults and caregivers.
All planned activities, programming, and the event location remain the same. Only the date has changed.
We appreciate your flexibility and look forward to welcoming you on Feb. 13 for a powerful day of engagement and advocacy.
