UNITED CHURCH News:
The “Seeking Truth in Science and Faith in Los Alamos” talk and discussion series presents “Complexity and Its Origins” 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9 at United Church’s Craig Hall, 2525 Canyon Road. The presenter is Gerry Wood.
Dinner is at 6 p.m., the presentation at 6:30 p.m., and at 7 p.m. the discussion begins.
We are complex beings living in a complex universe. Yet science and some religions propose a simple origin, such as a Big Bang or a Beginning of Creation. Complexity vs. time diagrams can be useful for discussing the various theories and beliefs of how our current high complexity (low entropy) situation came to be and where it may be going.
If you have questions about science and faith, this discussion series may answer some of them.
