A Los Alamos man arrested Jan. 14, 2016 on a charge of sexual exploitation of children – possession, is on the calendar for trial in April in First Judicial District Court.
Scott Mallory, 52, was arrested following several months of investigation by the Los Alamos Police Department, which included the examination of computer equipment by the New Mexico Regional Forensic Laboratory.
The investigation began when police were told that Mallory had several dozen photos of what looked like naked under-aged girls on his computer. Investigators later found more than 250 images of young female teenagers focused on the clothed breast area, as well as child erotica and child pornography, according to the police report.
Mallory’s first appearance in Los Alamos Magistrate Court was Jan. 15, 2016. He was bound over to District Court March 22, 2016 and pleaded not guilty at his arraignment April 11, 2016 in District Court.
